Pallas Athena in Retrograde

How the Warrior Refines Their Wisdom

I first heard about the asteroid Pallas Athena in an astrology class a mentor of mine was teaching. Pallas Athena better know as Athena is the goddess of strategy, civilization, justice, skilled combat, crafts, weaving and pottery. While Aries is brute force and strength, Pallas Athena uses her mind to win her battles and to win her wars. Athena was born of Zeus after he swallowed her mother Metis who was a titaness. She was born fully formed via Zeus's head after Hephaestus split it open to help relieve Zeus's headache.

In astrology she is not only the advisors of war she's also deemed the guide of creatives, writers, weavers, sculptors and artisans of any form. She is one of four goddess asteroids that orbit between Mars and Jupiter. Unlike her fellow asteroid sisters, Juno and Ceres, Athena and Vesta reflect an aspect of the feminine nature that is whole and complete in and of itself due to them being virginal goddesses. Athena and Vesta remind us of our holiness, wholeness and the power inherent in our own life force energies separate from others, particularly romantic partners. In Greek the translation of virgin means "one unto herself".

Pallas Athena went into retrograde in Aries, August 14, 2026 and will end November 30, 2026. This retrograde like all others call for your sights and energy to go inward before making any external moves. Instead of Aries go-go-go energy, Pallas Retrograde tells you to wait a minute or whatever Willow says. Pallas Athena retrograde makes us focus on refining your strategy, picking your battles, stop rushing, and re-evaluating your independence. This retrograde asks you what is serving your highest good? What battles are you wasting your energy and time fighting? Most importantly Pallas Athena asks you what is your strategy for every aspect of your life? Pallas Athena also tells you to harness your assertiveness around the things that matter to you. Freedom isn's just a constitutional right, it's a divine one. This isn't the time to prove a point.

This is the time for plotting and planning for the present and future. This is also the time to get into your creative bag(or get back into it). Pallas Athena retrograde may also bring up problems you think you may have solved to show you the true root of it. Old battles from the past are going to re-emerge to see if the wisdom you gained from them stuck or if there is need for a new lesson. Pallas Athena retrograde is time for you to have laser focus on your goals, independence and creative endeavors. It's also a time for you to refine the warrior within by using the wisdom gained from previous battles to sharpen your discernment so you can pick what battles are worth fighting and what battles aren't worth your time.
